Getting ready to travel
Here are some tips to make your trip easier.
Get ready and help avoid any surprises on your trip.
Users must make sure that their entryway is safe and accessible:
- Clear of snow and ice in the winter
- No barriers to the driver
Access ramps must be safe and up to code.
The user must be ready and visible in the main entrance 15 minutes before the expected pick-up time.
- If the user does not appear when the vehicle arrives, the driver will indicate their presence by going to the main entrance or ringing the doorbell of the user’s home.
- If the user still does not appear, the driver will leave and inform Paratransit services, which will contact the user.
If there is no one to assist the user at the destination, the driver will entrust them to someone in charge on the premises.
The user must behave respectfully and civilly toward the driver and other passengers.
- Users should contact Paratransit services if their transportation is more than 15 minutes later than the expected pick-up time.
- After arriving, drivers will wait for a maximum of two minutes for users who are not visible and present at the main entrance of their pick-up location.
