French is the official language of Quebec. Most immigrant children must attend school in French. Most workplaces in Brome-Missisquoi are also French.
There are francization courses available in the region if you want to learn French or improve your skills.
Immigration is the responsibility of the governments of Canada and Quebec.
The Quebec government selects people who want to immigrate to the province based on certain conditions. People selected by Quebec receive a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ).
To obtain this certificate, you must pass a French test and demonstrate a minimum proficiency in spoken French corresponding to level 7. Your spouse must be able to speak French with a minimum proficiency of level 4.
