Contract management bylaw
In accordance with applicable law, the contract management bylaw adopted by local municipalities are published permanently on their respective websites. However, if a local municipality has no website, their contract management bylaw must be published on the MRC Brome-Missisquoi website.
All contract management policies adopted by local municipalities of Brome-Missisquoi under the provisions of sections 573.3.1.2 of the Cities and Towns Act or 938.1.2 of the Municipal Code of Québec are deemed to be bylaw on contract management adopted under those same articles as amended by the Loi visant principalement à reconnaître que les municipalités sont des gouvernements de proximité et à augmenter à ce titre leur autonomie et leurs pouvoirs (LQ 2017, c 13) ( Bill 122).

According to its Contract Management bylaw, the MRC must publish on its website the information document on contractual management set out in Annex 1 of the said bylaw, so as to inform the citizens and potential contractors of measures taken by the MRC in the application of it.

List of MRC’s Contracts involving an expenditure of $25,000 or more
In accordance with the Municipal Code of Quebec, the list of contracts executed by the MRC Brome-Missisquoi involving an expenditure of $25,000 or more must be published by means of the electronic tendering system approved by the Government.See the list
Contracts involving an expenditure exceeding $2,000 entered into a full fiscal year with the same contracting party if those contracts involve a total expenditure exceeding $25,000
In accordance with the article 961.4 of the Municipal Code, not later than 31 January each year, the MRC must publish on its website the list of all contracts involving an expenditure exceeding $2,000 entered into in the last full fiscal year preceding that date with the same contracting party if those contracts involve a total expenditure exceeding $25,000.
The list shall indicate, for each contract, the name of the contracting party, the amount of the consideration and the object of the contract:

Local municipalities remain fully responsible for the content and validity of their contract management bylaw.
