Regional forestry service
In addition to its involvement concerning tree-cutting controls, the forestry service also has the mandate to offer services concerning the application of municipal bylaws through an intermunicipal agreement. Presently four municipalities are part of this agreement, namely Sutton, Brome Lake, Frelighsburg and Saint-Armand.
Through its forestry service, the MRC also offers urban forestry services to its municipalities (inventory, management of urban trees, inspection of dangerous trees) and forestry management planning.
A form for permission to cut trees is available at each municipality. Some documentation may be necessary depending on the type of cut planned.
